About using Astorp
- Is it really free?The core is free for everyone, and always will be. That includes your agreements, signatures, evidence, history, the reports you generate, a full export of your data and account deletion. Paid options add capacity and convenience on top, never access to your own information.
- Do I have to create an agreement?No. The agreement is optional. Many people use Astorp only to organise a project, track money and keep files and photos together, and never sign anything. You can add an agreement later if the day comes when you want one.
- Can the other person take part without an account?Yes. You can invite someone as a guest to the specific thing you are sharing, and they can take part without creating a full account.
About signatures and proof
- Are Astorp signatures legally binding?An Astorp signature is a simple electronic signature: evidence that an authenticated account holder affirmed a specific version of an agreement at a specific time. Whether that is sufficient for a given purpose depends on your situation and your local law. We set out exactly what it is and is not in the electronic signature notice, and we do not overstate it.
- Does Astorp verify who someone really is?No. A signature shows that the person signed in to a particular account affirmed the agreement. It does not, on its own, prove that person's real-world identity. The electronic signature notice explains this plainly.
- Can the history be edited after the fact?Meaningful actions are recorded as they happen, in a way designed to make silent changes detectable. That is what makes the history worth relying on when something is disputed.
About your data
- Who can see what I keep?Only you and the people you invite, each limited to the access you grant them. Your data is kept separate from every other account at the database level. Our privacy policy has the full detail.
- Can I export or delete everything?Yes, at any time, for free. You can download a complete machine-readable copy of your data and delete your account and the information tied to it.
- How does assisted drafting work, and is it optional?Optional assistance can help you draft or extract agreement content faster. It is never required, it is clearly marked, and what it produces is a draft for you to review and decide on. The AI use notice explains how it works and how your content is handled.
- What about other languages?Astorp can show translated versions of content as a convenience. The translation notice explains what is machine translated and why the original remains the version that counts.
